While it may seem cheesy to some, I’m a big advocate of being aware of the things that make you happy and that you are grateful for. For me, that acknowledgment normally comes in the form of a list and so below are just a few things that have put a smile on my face over the past few weeks.
Sunny Days in London. It almost feels like a different city when the sky isn’t gray and because the buildings aren’t as tall as in NYC, you can actually see the bright blue sky.
Galentines Day Brunch at Forge & Co. While it wasn’t the bottomless brunch we originally had planned (no shame) it was a delicious meal. I felt rather fancy eating a two course brunch–eggs benedict to start followed by french toast. Will definitely be back.
Copious Amounts of Tea (& some coffee too!) While I’m still a coffee lover, I’ve definitely been drinking more tea since coming to London! Although to be honest, it is likely because our flat was equipped with an electric kettle but no coffee maker. No complaints here though.
The Duck Confit Sandwich at Borough Market. Yum is all I have to say.
Day Trips To Oxford & Colchester & Stonehenge. All were wonderful places to get out of the city for a few hours and walk around historical streets. I can’t wait to explore some more places just outside London, particularly Brighton and Dover.
Booking other exciting trips. Think Greece for Spring break and Amsterdam for a quick weekend in April. If you want to see some of the other places I’m hoping to travel to, check out my wanderlust post.
